CLT-Panel Upender

Function

The CLT panel turner enables the automated turning of large-format cross-laminated timber panels between different processing stages. The system consists of two synchronously operating turning units that travel on a rail system and use precisely controlled fork arms to pick up, tilt, and place the panel back down.

The motion is driven by heavy-duty ball screw assemblies and servo motors that are electronically synchronized, ensuring smooth and gentle turning even of heavy panels. By extending the travel axes, the panel turner can easily be used as a cross-transport system, eliminating the need for complex transverse conveying systems.
