Conveying and Cutting System for Single-Layer Panels

Function

For a project involving the processing of edge-glued single-layer panels, an innovative conveying and cutting system was developed. The two-part design with center drive minimizes the distance between roller bearings and thus reduces deflection, helping to avoid pressure marks on the surface of the finished CLT panels.

A digitally controlled precision stop enables accurate cuts. Through an integrated rotation and alignment table, the panels are automatically positioned for trimming or onward transport. The production of cross-layer segments is also possible via a cross-cut saw with rotation station – with a cycle time of approximately two minutes per panel.
