QEco Milling & hardness testing system

Functionality

After the production and treatment of sheet steel at our customer, one of the largest sheet steel producers in Austria, the products are subjected to a production-related 100% hardness test.

Makkon GmbH has developed a system for this, which first lifts the sheet from an existing roller conveyor. The workpiece is then pre-stressed with a force of 3500 kg and milled to a depth of approx. 3 mm with a milling cutter (Ø40 mm). A state-of-the-art test module from QATM was used to ensure high-quality and precise measurement.
